Guide people through the event lifecycle
Before the event, a poster might point to registration. Close to the date, the same code can open arrival instructions or the final schedule. Afterward, it can link to recordings, resources, or feedback. Match every change to the promise on the printed material, and avoid removing information attendees may still need.
Handle last-minute changes in one place
If the venue or schedule changes, update the destination content or point the QR to a clear announcement page. Then scan the actual poster to verify the journey. A QR update does not notify everyone who scanned earlier, so important changes should also be communicated through your registration or attendee messaging system.
Make scanning practical in a busy venue
Place codes where people can pause without blocking a doorway or queue. Print a short caption describing the next step and preserve generous contrast and a clear border. Large wall displays may need a larger QR than a desk sign. Test from the expected distance under the venue’s lighting conditions.
Separate information access from admission control
PrintOnceQR codes are reusable links, not unique event tickets. Anyone can photograph or share them. Use a ticketing platform for one-time admission, attendee identity, and check-in validation. You can link to that platform, but PrintOnceQR does not replace its security or attendance records.
Your questions, answered.
Can I switch from registration to the event schedule?
Yes. Change the destination on the existing QR when the event stage changes. Keep the new page consistent with the printed call to action.
Should I delete the QR after the event?
Consider leaving a useful follow-up page while printed copies remain in circulation. Deleting the QR permanently breaks those copies.
